come in for a landing at Los Alamos at 0940 hours 23 Sept 1948 witness noticed something glint in the sun Focusing his attention on the object he per- ceived that it was perfectly white meither transparent or trans- lucent and that it had no metallic sheen It wo» perfectly circu- lar the side visible to hin being flat mch ce a coin wuld appear when observed from a distance it a pexcred no north sector of the eky which was moving in a northeasterly direction at an estimated altitude of 10,000 ft A stratus layer of clouds wis situated above the object at an approximate altitude of 14,000 feet The dise or discs were moving below this layer of cloude in that it was noted that on two occasions that the highest formation of clouds was at a greater altitude than the object observed and that the lower cimwd formation blocked the vision of the observer thus placing the object betwoen the two cl ud formations or levels Because of this lower broken cumius clouis at Wery low altitude
